Note

Mrs. Georgene J. Nilsen, 79, widow of George K. Nilsen, died Saturday in the home of a niece, Mrs. Nelly Oen of Quilcene. Mrs. Nilsen came to Tacoma from Norway in 1900. She was a member of the Lutheran church and the Daughters of Norway and North Light club, in whose founding her husband was especially active. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Natalie Lindoe, and a son, George A. Nilsen, both of Redondo Beach, Calif; a niece, Mrs. Oen, who came to her as a child and was considered a daughter, a brother in Norway; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the C.O. Lynn Co. chapel, the Rev. C. Myrdahl officiating. Entombment will follow in the Tacoma Mausoleum. Pallbearers, members of the Daughters of Norway, will be Mesdames Hildur Alvestad, Henry Berglund, Hans Lavik, Matt Monsen, Peter Petersen and Sam Strom.
